Dallas, Texas set the stage for our winter gathering held during the first week of February. The synergy was fantastic, bringing together container gardening professionals from across the United States and Canada for two days of learning, networking, and fun. It was the biggest event to date for the association with 52 attendees taking part. The gathering provided a valuable opportunity for attendees to deepen their knowledge, connect with industry experts, and leave feeling inspired for the 2025 planting season.
The gathering featured a lineup of exceptional speakers who shared valuable insights on the latest trends and practices. Cathy Hodges from Increased Orbit lead attendees through a goal setting session. Melissa Gerstle, Melissa Gerstle Design, spoke on Neuroaesthetics and the importance it plays in our business. The team from McFarland Stanford spoke on bookkeeping practices for small business profitability. Burnout Expert, Jessica Rector, was the evening speaker and had the group on their feet shouting “You Are A Rockstar.” Something we all need to remind ourselves of often with all the hats we wear as business owners.
The evening concluded with our First Annual Platinum Trowel Awards. The ceremony celebrated the exceptional achievements and contributions to the container gardening industry, recognizing individuals who have demonstrated outstanding commitment and leadership in this field. We are thrilled to celebrate our members and we are excited that this annual event will set a new standard for excellence within our community.
